ISO 9001:2000 Certified
For more than five decades, Gamber-Johnson's priority has always been to provide our customers with quality products and service. This effort is reflected in our Quality Policy:
It is the Quality Policy of Gamber-Johnson LLC to provide products and services that meet or exceed our customers' expectations. This commitment is achieved through compliance to our quality program, pursuit of continual improvement, and quality stewardship among all associates.
Gamber-Johnson is proud to have taken a leadership role in being the first vehicle mounting system and docking station supplier to earn certification to the ISO 9001 international quality standard and introduce new levels of quality and customer service to our industry. This standard encompasses elements of business operations affecting customer satisfaction, including management responsibility, resource management, product realization, and continual improvement.
How did Gamber-Johnson prepare for certification?
Gamber-Johnson utilized the knowledge of its management team and a quality
steering committee to formulate strategy. A detailed Quality Plan was developed
using extensive project management techniques. Trained teams implemented
the process and performed internal audits to prepare for certification.
Subsequently, Gamber-Johnson was assessed by BSI Management Systems America
Inc.(BSI), an independent ISO quality registrar, and certified as meeting
the requirements of ISO 9001:1994 on March 20, 2001.
Shortly thereafter, Gamber-Johnson embarked on a rigorous 18-month process to convert from the ISO 9001:1994 standard to the newly released ISO 9001:2000 standard. The revised standard focuses on quality management principles and the process approach, emphasizing the importance of understanding and meeting requirements, consideration of processes in terms of added value, obtaining results of process performance and effectiveness, and continual improvement of the process. Because of these efforts, Gamber-Johnson received the BSI Certificate of Registration for completing certification to the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System standard on September 2, 2003. In March, 2007, BSI re-assessed Gamber-Johnson’s quality management system and recommended continued certification to ISO 9001:2000.
