Gamber-Johnson has been named the recipient of the 2019 Governor’s Export Achievement Award which recognizes their success in global business development for the second time in five years.

(STEVEN’S POINT, WIS – May 8, 2019)  – Gamber-Johnson, a leading supplier of rugged mounting systems for fleet vehicles, public safety vehicles, forklifts, and other mobility applications, announced today that it has been named the recipient of the 2019 Governor’s Export Achievement Award by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). Three Wisconsin based companies were recognized for their contribution to Wisconsin’s exporting strength by achieving extraordinary results in international markets and elevating Wisconsin’s competitiveness in the global economy.

“Gamber-Johnson is truly honored to receive the Governor’s Export Award,” stated Brian Wagner, president of Gamber-Johnson.  “This award is great recognition of what can be done through wise government co-investment with private industry.  Through the support of WEDC and the US Department of Commerce, Gamber has leveraged government resources in the form of grants and services to dramatically increase exports over the last 7 years.  Additionally, this is well-deserved recognition of the tremendous efforts of the Gamber-Johnson team which has worked seamlessly to develop and grow exports to 45 countries.”

Gamber-Johnson has previously won the Governor’s Export Achievement Award in 2015. Gautam Malik, chief operating officer, says the company’s success couldn’t have been achieved without a strong team dynamic. He continued “Congratulations to the entire Gamber-Johnson team. Gamber has demonstrated a sustained commitment to export expansion with help from our technology partners who have been instrumental in taking us into new markets and countries. We look forward to continuing to cultivate our strategic relationships and delivering high quality products. We are proud to be a multinational company with world headquarters in central Wisconsin.”

Malik and Jason Lewandowski, vice president of engineering were both present to receive the award at this year’s Wisconsin International Trade Conference on May 8th in Milwaukee. In addition, to the award ceremony, the executives served on a panel featuring a Q&A session to share their success and help guide other local Wisconsin businesses to achieve exporting success.
