Gamber-Johnson LLC, an award-winning industry leader in the manufacturing of mobile and proAV mounting solutions trusted to be “Rugged, Reliable, and Responsive,” is looking for a Design Engineer for our Vehicle Integrated Products Cell (What’s a Cell? Visit our Website for more detail).
What You’ll Do:
As a Design Engineer, you are responsible for developing products and executing your Cell’s go-to-market strategy. Working collaboratively with your team, you have the opportunity to help run a business within a business. This role is key in assuring your cell’s products are designed; function and add value that outperform the competition.
- Research customers’ needs through communications with end-users, resellers, and partners.
- Help develop go-to-market and competitive strategies.
- Plan, develop, and communicate a strategy for product launch and initial forecast.
- Using 3D CAD software, design and detail work to achieve design criteria.
- Prepare drawings and renderings for end-user instruction manuals and marketing collateral.
- Create and maintain engineering files and bills of material.
- Participate in team problem solving, process improvement, and decision-making.
- Work with outside vendors and partners to interpret design specifications.
- Provide technical support to sales managers, marketing, and customer service representatives.
- Oversee assembly and testing of engineering prototypes.
- Travel to customer and partner sites to conduct design reviews.
